Mammoth Cannon is a 4-piece pop-rock band hailing from Central Illinois. The original concept for Mammoth Cannon began in January 2015 with guitarist George O'Brien, drummer Nic Stephens, & vocalist Lewie Lewis. A year later the band has welcomed its final member Daniel Johnson, playing bass. Mammoth Cannon is still very young and very eager to please. With their unique take on the current state of pop rock, the band fuses elements of modern sounds with a classic core to create a completely original style that is sure to leave you hungry for more.
The Owls Seem What They Are Not: The Owls Seem What They Are Not was formed by a passionate group of musicians studying classical and jazz performance and music composition at the Chicago Academy for the Arts. With an emphasis on improvisation, their music is informed by an array of traditions, from avant-garde classical music to post rock. Since the fall of 2015 the band has performed at venues in and around the Chicagoland area, and in April of 2016 released their debut album, “Whirl Around the Whirr Rider Riding a Whale Down a Waterfall”.
